SIMPLY. CONNECTED.
All USPs of the XCU at a glance.
The XCU (XTRONIC CONTROL UNIT) is the central control system in the vehicle for gathering and standardizing all relevant vehicle and system data.
The resulting digital twin of the vehicle mirrors all the data in the cloud. Data can be analyzed, processed, and fed back into the vehicle along this value-added chain.
This means that ongoing processes can be continuously optimized. Accompanying services increase efficiency and effectiveness and thus create added value at each level.
The XCU interlinks, records and controls all the data from the analog and digital components and systems behind the B-pillar.
This enables the intelligent and safe interlinking of a large range of safety, monitoring and comfort functions in commercial vehicles but also for (semi-) autonomous robo-taxis.
A smart and sophisticated configuration concept allows customer-specific adaptations.
Connectivity solutions must overcome limits and link horizons to enable future-proof mobility concepts.
The XCU provides full digitalization and interlinking. All the components in the vehicle are connected by near-field and far-field technology and via the cloud.
This means that all the functions can be controlled and monitored from any location. Cloud-based assistance systems can be added to provide further connectivity solutions.

Daimler AG
Based on the XCU, we have developed the innovative MBAC connectivity module for Daimler AG.
For the V-Class Marco Polo models and the camping version of the Sprinter, the system enables connectivity and control of numerous comfort components in the living area as well as a comprehensive warning and message concept.
The system can be operated via the touchpad in the vehicle or in the near field via a Bluetooth-based smartphone app.
Up to now, electrical and electronic components in motorhomes could often only be controlled via individual, analog switches or classic LED/LCD control panels. The MBAC system should go one step further and additionally link classic devices and sensors with smart home functions and realize an innovative operating concept via the integrated touchpad and a Bluetooth based smartphone app.
Thanks to the flexible and modular structure of this connectivity solution, we were able to implement the complex integration of all components very quickly.
MBAC offers the following features:
and much more ...
XTRONIC is also series supplier (TIER1) of the MBAC system for Daimler AG.
